MSL has implemented the largest DFID programme in Bangladesh on Livelihood for 12 years in 2 Phases from 2004 to 2016. We have an established track record in the field of pro-poor development policy, and wide-ranging experience across the range of competencies that have been synthesised into the “livelihoods approach”. Our aim has always been to recommend integrated reform strategies that are transparent, streamlined, efficient and effective. These create incentives for the growth of sustainable productive activities by focusing on natural comparative and competitive advantages, rather than subsidies, protectionism and market distortions.
We also have specific experience in area of livelihood promotion for poverty reduction. Our involvement in this area covers intervention including food security, sustainable income generation, asset transfer, access to clean water and sanitation, basic education and health services, enterprise development and facilitating access to market.
