SME, Microfinance and Microenterprise

MSL has extensive experience in the SME sector and developed an Integrated SME Database for Bangladesh. MSL build capacity and provided training on micro and small enterprises (MSE) in Uzbekistan and supported Bangladesh Bank and PKSF’s initiative on MSME. MSL undertook a pre-feasibility study of an SME Industrial Park for the SME Foundation to improve linkages between SMEs in Bangladesh. MSL also produced several microfinance products in the Chars area in Bangladesh and built capacity for the MFIs and their borrowers, and piloted innovative financial products for DFID in Bangladesh. MSL provided capacity development support for Microenterprise Development Project for PKSF.

MSL worked to contribute to the development of a diverse and competitive microfinance sector by encouraging the establishment and operation of private, sustainable microfinance institutions (MFIs) that focus on best-practice and outreach to the poor, and consequently contribute to poverty alleviation. We have worked for capacity building for microfinance development in Uzbekistan. MSL implemented relevant projects for ADB and DFID in Bangladesh, Lao PDR, Uzbekistan.
